Costing and Selection of the Team
1.
   Costing by building estimators was based on draft specifications and schedules.
2.
   The project was then put to tender to secure a builder who could build this innovative project at a reasonable and affordable market rate.
3.
   The project was then priced and a building licence obtained.
4.
   The services of a registered builder with an interest in ecological sustainable design were arranged to assist the professional team to organise the construction under the control of the owner.
5.
   A list of contractors were identified by Ecotect®* - Architects, using previous experience of quality, ability and interest in energy efficient building construction.
6.
   Contractors were invited to quote.
7.
   Quotations were compared to budget, adjustments were made and selections were confirmed.
