| A commercial system was provided in aesthetically concealed separate panels, for installation on the Studio roof. The boiler in the basement allows for gas boosting and a ring main supply to all buildings. This permits occupants to gain instant access to hot water by the turn of a tap. Avoiding the need to run the hot water tap whilst waiting for hot water to come through will result in significant energy and water savings. |

| The thermal mass needed for this solar passive development was provided by rammed limestone, selected for its light colour and suitability for a coastal project. The superior workmanship of Terrafirma allowed part of the internal plaster work to be deleted in favour of leaving several areas of rammed limestone as feature walls. |
